Coaching With
Jessica Vangnes
My name is Jessica Vangsnes, certified trauma informed Guided PACE Coach. I have been married 15 years. I am a wife to Travis Vangsnes, author and child advocate for America’s Kids Belong. We moved to Spartanburg, SC after spending 4 years as Certified Family Teachers, then Foster parents. In 2016 We were parenting our two biological children, then we adopted two older boys out of foster care. This came with immense Joy and Grief that is with any adoption. In 2019 after birthing our youngest son, we entered a season of chaos and stress. I had hit a wall emotionally. So I began a journey learning my own patterns using psychological theories, mindful and contemplative practices, and becoming certified in Enneagram and Marriage in 2022. As I engaged all these helpful resources I knew that the only path toward wholeness in Marriage, Parenting and in Life is through addressing trauma and Attachment and the Patterns of personality we all develop to cope. I wanted to tell everyone what helped me heal.
I approach all Clients with the idea of “Imago Dei” in mind. Which means “they are made in the image of God.” They are not broken, they are asleep and in need of connection to God, self and others. The chaos they might be experiencing is the result of unconscious patterns of thought and behavior that we can safely look at together through the Guided PACE Styles and Tools. My number one goal with a client is to build trust helping them to feel seen, known and connected with safely. Dismantling shame and walking toward hope will be sacred work we can do together.
